This is fantastic (in every sense of the word)! I have used monstrosity as a theme in my lit courses for a long time - I just preordered your book and am really looking forward to it!

Here I am at my follow up appointment today. I am a survivor, and I know how important screenings are. Mine was delayed in March 2020 due to COVID. In late August, a lump that was Stage lla when I was diagnosed on 9/21/20. Fast-growing. I'm one of the lucky ones.

Fwiw, I am teaching 4 novels and a novella in a 14 week spring class geared for college sophomores. Frankenstein, Jekyll &Hyde, Dracula, The Hobbit, and Some Desperate Glory. We'll see how it goes, but I feel like I need to reintroduce the joy of reading alongside the critical analysis.
