Anthropology: Culture & Sustainable futures. Loves books, animals, humans not so much. Hates cruelty/injustice, systemic social failures & inequities -poverty, food insecurity, health access.
While this is a parody, billboards such as these should be up all over the world.

Thanks to @earthlyeducation.bsky.social for their always illuminating posts. Here’s my favourite three slides from your Elon post.

Tax the rich.

The existence of a #trillionaire is obscene and a low point for the world.

Jazz aficionados and history buffs might be interested in this 1938 edition of Charles Delaunay’s HOT Discography.
Not sure what I’ll do with it yet.

Unpacking book boxes held in storage for a very long time - current box full of my musician father’s old music books and journals.
But this periodical caught my eye, love the name! We need more colourful names for our journals etc.

Is this the future you really want?

If not you must get involved and actively resist. Tell your politicians, local representatives, state/federal govts again and again.

‘AI, no worries it’ll be great’ & ‘Digital ID? Nothing to worry about!’
How’s that going?

So many breaches, so many compromises. We keep galloping ahead before we fully understand what it is we’re doing. It wouldn’t hurt take a step back for once.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social @jimchalmers.bsky.social @australianlabor.bsky.social
When are you going to start charging these corporate cowboys and their ilk tax?! Every company with even a toehold in this country should be paying tax - enough is enough!

Going through some boxes that belonged to my sister Cassie Ogdon (d.1987) and came across this songbook of resistance songs from her Roxby Downs blockade days, circa August 1983. The contents pages are a feast of protest songs.

The best dozen eggs I’ve bought recently - from a neighbourhood farm. My eggs of many colours.

We have a strong and growing food share ethos in our local region helping keep our communities food resilient.

Regarding the ABCs reporting of the Marles/Hegseth meeting in the US, it’s the comment ‘and America’s expanding military presence in Australia’ that really caught my attention.
We really don’t want more US military here, it smacks of intrusive control and interference. @albomp.bsky.social #auspol

To celebrate breaking my #writersblock and starting #Uni classes again today after midyear break I thought a little #baking was in order. Today it’s a Greek Yoghurt Coffee #Cake, it has no coffee in it but meant to be eaten with coffee. I made one for me and one for my neighbours.

Given it’s almost 4pm and I haven’t had breakfast or lunch and I’m old enough to do whatever I want - I’m having dessert now.
Just out of the oven, a Rhubarb and Apple Crumble. Cheers.

Hey #Blueskyfoodies what’s on your menu tonight?

I’m making something new for a going away meal for my daughter who heads off OS v.early on Thursday morning. It’s Ainsley Harriott’s Maltese Stuffed Aubergines, minus the side salad.

It was delicious.
