Visited the Vatican Museums, seething with humans and unpleasant for any introvert. The spiralling exit walkway is more impressive than the Sistine Chapel. Blasphemy?

"‘Gorbachev came to detest the dialectic of bullying and toadying, the rule that an opponent must be left not just defeated but destroyed, abject and whining for forgiveness."

We in Australia were subjected to China's economic blackmail after we refused to kowtow and called for an independent inquiry into the origins of Covid. $b of our exports were affected. The USA stood with Australia. Now the USA is doing precisely the same bullying.

Totally agree with this. All sympathy for Raygun evaporated when she resorted to outrageous legal threats . As an academic herself where is her commitment to free speech? She’s now in the same category as the humourless Pauline Hanson who sued a comedian.

I was once team Raygun. After her heavy-handed legal threats, no more
The Australian breakdancer’s demand that a venue pay her $10,000 in legal fees over a tribute show she forced them to cancel is beyond a joke.

The shadowy world of IPA finances
The IPA knows that its credibility would be shot if it were seen to be the mouthpiece of big business with an interest in undermining climate science and climate policy.

Yet here at an upmarket restaurant I’m watching the chefs check their phones when they have a bit of downtime. Then straight back to handling food.
