How worried should we be if it is true that 9 players’ contracts expire in the summer and the manager’s contract is up? Sounds like a lot of business to sort out in a short amount of time, whether renewals or new signings.

This season I feel Mariona seems a little bit quiet compared to last year where she often seemed to be the best player on the pitch. Do you agree, and if so would you rest her or move her to try to get her firing 100% again?

Thank you for all the Gooner coverage this season. Hope you have a great summer. Any plans for next season and the fanzine?

What do you think we need to do to come away feeling happy with the result? Will only a win do? Or would just a close score line be enough, as we can see this as just a stepping stone for next season?

Do you feel that Renée’s style is more Montemurro than Eidevall? It seems that players have a lot more freedom to move about the pitch and more ability to make decisions themselves, rather than sticking to their assigned roles

How much of a disadvantage is it for Arsenal to have to play the UWCL semi-final second leg away?

Both Renée and Bompastor have very calm demeanours. This seems in contrast to Jonas’s need to “be on fire to give off heat” and to a more traditional (male) way of managing. Do you think the calm, logical, approach is the future of management, or do you think there is need for a bit of fire?

Does this fit the definition of a “trap game”? Comes after a champion’s league win and just before an international break.

What a great episode and a beautiful dedication at the end

What can Arsenal do when teams like Liverpool employ every dark art going (I don’t think I’ve seen a team do more blatant pushing of players in the back) to disrupt our flow? Do we need a plan B for when we can’t play beautiful flowing football? Or do we need to manage the ref better?

Oh what a great way to remember it! I always end up guessing and somehow manage to get it right way less than 50% of the time! I will try and use this in the future

A lot of people seem to think that Chelsea’s recruitment is “better” than Arsenal’s and Arsenal are not as committed. But is the truth more that Chelsea are in a virtuous cycle: they win things so players want to join them, so they win things. Arsenal need to find a way to win to break this cycle.

Do you think any of the players out on loan this season will make the move to Arsenal squad players next season?
February 23, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Do you think maybe we are missing that dedicated sporting director for the women's team? Someone whose job is to build the squad over seasons. At times it has seemed a bit like we didn't have a cohesive plan, and we just bought players because "how can you turn down player x?"

How far do you think we can get in the UWCL now? Any teams you specifically want, or want to avoid, in the next round?

With a little distance now from the end of the Jonas era; where would you rate Jonas as a manager amongst all the previous Arsenal managers?
November 17, 2024 at 4:44 PM
How much do you think the uptick in performance since Jonas left is due to a settled starting XI? Although I understood Jonas’s desire to rotate to not overload players I thought it went to far and don’t allow the relationships to grow on the pitch.
