I did something similar in FREEDOM FORT, a Nicholl QF script that earned a spot on the inaugural Georgia List, a project by Franklin Leonard of The Black List to highlight writers with strong connections to Georgia.

We were enjoying a swell lunch in downtown Palm Springs when a hummingbird buzzed by my ear and started sipping nectar from flowers in a vase on our table.
I was gobsmacked, but recovered my composure to get photo of it at the table next to us.
