nou... niet geheel van onderop. KOZP wist bondgenoten te vinden onder officiële en officieuze vertegenwoordigers van staatsmedia, lokale overheden, en de Verenigde Naties. zonder die organen van staatsmacht was er geen succes geboekt

no, though poor strategy is part of it. I think the mo of groups like XR, borrowed from NGOs like Milieudefensie &c., is demoralising because it expects people to simply be the decor of a media and lobbying campaign carried out by paid professionals and aimed at professional politicians

take the A12 blockades of 2023, a tremendous group effort, lots of energy expended by thousands on a highly visible demonstration that resulted in... adopting a motion to research how to phase out fossil subsidies.

the climate activism that's been going on is either lawfare, or basically fully oriented towards lobbying the centre-left through big demos. neither of those activities do anything to mobilise and school people beyond having them show up for marches and sit-ins
