In my late teens I did a 25 mile sponsored walk which, with stopping for breaks, took me just under 8 hours. I was carrying very little, and I was fit. There was nothing easy about it. 30 miles for a fit person? Yes possible but easy? No way! Also certainly not sustainable day after day.
