Maybe have them only appear in the crosshairs but they persist until the player moves a certain distance away from the object? Markers usually indicate some kind of "lock-on" for weapons that home in on the target or provide more info (HP/shields). I'd consider making the green outlines smaller.

I still don't understand the harm in advocating for BOTH internet resources AND libraries providing free access as well. The great thing about decentralization is when one source goes down, you have still have redundant access from another. In that case, both should be preserved.

One last thought came to mind, for the item description being so verbose, consider using a more neutral and readable font. The one you have currently isn't bad, but maybe a san serif or simple serif'd font might be better?

Yeah, then its probably fine the way it is. Or instead of a separate section for the resources relevant to each particular item, just highlight the relevant resources (or dim the non-relevant resources) but the keep the order of the list static.

Otherwise it looks good!

My opinion/preference is for a cleaner interface with only the needed and relevant information even if there is a lot of empty space. Will the game have a lot of different resources pushing the list beyond the bottom of the box? If not, then it's probably fine the way it is.

Yeah, lots of choices here. You could move the relevant resources to the top of the list and highlight them instead of giving them a completely separate section. However, if you need to know which resources you have, it's simple enough to just click on the other item instead of showing the overview.

For the right box, when you click on the other object to purchase/equip, I'm guessing the items at the top of the list will change but the bottom will stay the same. Is there any reason to show the bottom list at all? Is it relevant or helpful for the player to have this information on this screen?

Two things bother me about this layout: 1. For the box on the left, the numbers being cut off by the slider bar. Consider putting the number below the name instead of beside it? 2. For the box on the right, what is the difference between the items at the top versus the items below the dashed line?
