Crazy that governments have detailed risk registers for disasters from terrorism, pandemics, war etc. but nothing for the biggest threat facing all of us. Climate change.

incentives for scientists to engage is weaker than it should be and international cooperation on climate risk and impacts is definitely lacking.

The thing is he’s almost right - it’s not the economics - it’s that people believe 9 in 10 immigrants are illegal, and that the UK is a soft touch and gentle and welcoming towards migrants, and that’s why they come here. And why we have more migrants than anywhere else on earth.

Most of his meals were normal throughout his life, but the tv show only seems to focus on the few unusual meals he did have, not fair and balanced.

Just for context - UK is ranked 50th out of 51 for how badly we treat families for reunification. The only developed country ranking worse than us is Denmark.

This is a much lower ranking than countries such as Russia or Saudi Arabia, and certainly much worse than USA or Australia.

But these policies are in place because politicians think ordinary people rejoice in being barbaric and inhumane to foreigners. Tells us what politicians think of us.

It is. And it’s so insulting to the electorate. Often when you break down and explain our own immigration policies, even people to the right are horrified.
