I don't know much about the original poster and his small business, however I want to point out that a business-owner can be non-capitalist under certain conditions.

Hopefully that encourages our business owner to seek out those conditions rather than thinking he has to play the capitalism game.

No worries.

I was trying to think if what they suggested made sense: i.e. if the aerosol injection reduced the insolation, which led to a negative energy balance for the ocean, leading to it cooling, leading to a great co2 solubility, leading to more co2 absorption... but the article was vague

What do you mean by capital above?

Not a useful guess, Karl.

Hmm your article says increases in atmospheric CO2 are not caused by humans.

And it links to their "buddy"'s blog... which is primarily health-misinformation

And the other articles: "Florida’s Fossil Fuel Renaissance: Why the Sunshine State is Laughing Off Climate Hysteria"

This website is junk.

Why does Pinatubo drop CO2?

11/ Treating this report as a turning point doesn’t just misunderstand history

It lets power off the hook by implying the problem was *who* was speaking, rather than what interests were being protected

We’ve had warnings, from scientists, environmentalists, & security analysts for a long time!

Where do they see environmentalists guilt-tripping people?
Environmentalists generally have no platform or form for engagement, and are often incredibly careful to not point fingers.

It seems like a bit of a bogey-man: "The environmentalists want to take your [insert item here]. How dare they!?"

Steve, being a small business owner doesn't make you a capitalist — you can have a small business (maybe even a larger one) and even be anti-capitalist.

Just don't:
- Exploit your workers
- Have opaque wage structures
- Focus on private profit over community benefit

Yes, this is simplifying things

I wonder if Steve Reed will attend the National Emergency Briefing on the 27th November... nebriefing.org

This comparison in the article stood out to me as slightly random:
"China generated 1,826 terawatt-hours of wind and solar electricity in 2024, five times more than the energy contained in all 600 of its nuclear weapons."

“We've been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.”

Yikes.

But the messages also include invitations to join in a reactionary movement for a nostalgic past, against the *checks notes* evils of liberal democracies in Europe with their censoring online safety laws.

No mention of censorship in Russia or other states. No mention of misuse of tech platforms.

Pardon my ignorance, but there is already the third National Adaptation Plan. (which is critiqued as lacking)

What are the specifics of a resilience plan in comparison?
