Long tons (imperial) 2240 lbs: short ton (imperial/US) 2000 lbs: tonne (metric ton) 2200lbs. And just to really mix it up, one hundredweight is 112 lbs (20 cwt in a long ton)

"....because of angles, metes, and bounds,........ " Okaaay, by that logic (?) Canada is more important, since missiles over the pole cross Canada more than Greenland. So the 51st, 52nd, or 53rd State? Greenland, Iceland, and Canada? To say nothing of the fact the sentence does not make sense.

Look at a map. Makes a lot more sense that Canada makes it a province. We have free health care too.

It is not up to the nontheist to convince the theist. The theist is making an unfalsifiable argument, so it is up to him to prove it. Using evidence, not belief.

I would say cannot undo all the damage. Maybe 8 years of a Democrat president and a NSA with courage would renew and improve the ties being broken by the current administration. N.B... A change in U.S leadership certainly can undo the damage, so can't not works as well.

Latest trend is to take the infinitive of an irregular verb and add -ed instead of using the correct past tense. I'm seeing it a lot. Eg shined instead of shone, in this case speeded instead of sped.

We used to fish off the coast of Trinidad, out of Port of Spain. Two or three guys, a high bowed pirogh with two big outboards (for safety, it was the sea). Just power out south and west to fishing spots, shoals and holes. Rod and reel stuff. Wouldn't dare do it today with him and the DoD in charge.

Is there a problem with your math? 2,200 lbs x 8 (tonnes) x 16 (ounces) x $3500 = $985,600,000. That is approx 1 Billion, not 1 Trillion

18 days ago you posted the 4 ways to get out of the coming demographic mess. I have used the points in discussions with the anti-immigrant people when they spout their talking points. The result is always the same, silence then a quick change of subject. It truly is between a rock and a hard place.
