I like that PTC card (and forgot I also have the Kreindler card and a ‘53 Bowman reprint). Here’s my ‘54 Bowman:

Final weigh-in of 2025: 172.4 lbs. Down exactly 34 pounds from New Year's Day (206.4 lbs). I lost 16.5% of my body weight this year (on purpose). And finished 0.4 lbs above my lowest mark (172.0), which was also my lowest in *at least* the last 25 years. Final weight-loss graph for the year:

Not a grading slab. Still, freed this ‘65 Bob Gibson and reunited him with his championship-winning teammates (and for less than that sticker price!).
A 1965 Bob Gibson Topps card screwed into a hard plastic slab with an ugly “Hall of Fame” caption in green text on a cut out piece of paper, an old $19.90 price tag, and several surface scratches. That same 1965 Gibson Topps card looking sharp sitting next to the now-empty slab.

I guess I missed this when it dropped, but this is straight out of Spın̈al Tap. It's of a piece with the "Smell the Glove" cover described in the movie & the actual "Bitch School" single cover from 1992 (below), the latter of which used canine-themed doggerel (sorry) to lampoon hair-metal sexism:

Update: So, I weigh the same today that I weighed on March 30, but I wouldn't call it a plateau. A week-long trip to New Orleans (and a few too many meals out prior to that) resulted in a month that looked like the graph below. Hoping to get back on track in May. Up to 60 sit-ups & push-ups daily:

I love this. Having done this a few times myself via similar DIY methods--for Bowie's Heroes cover, Johnny Cash flipping off the camera (below) & my current avatar--I appreciate the attention to detail in these.
