I have been hearing it for years. In all conversations with Trumpers I start with a simple question:
Would you care if Trump committed crimes?
If you simply don't care if he is innocent then why do you waste time arguing that he is innocent?

Fun fact: The Civil War ended in 1865. The first prosecution for holding a slave didn't happen until 1942. The reason was that the Nazis were making propaganda to black soldiers about their treatment.
