Bad start to our travels. Our AA flights operated by JAL (JAL 55 from ORD to NRT and rebooked JAL 5 from JFK to HND) were both cancelled due to maintenance issues (cockpit window and engine issues respectively). Delayed our arrival to Japan and threw our plans around quite a bit.

Unfortunately my father passed a month ago from a stroke at night. We called 911 and he was taken to a local trauma hospital where the swelling from the damage led to him not being able to breathe on his own. Please take care of your health, go to the doctor, and spend time with your loved ones.

If you get the Shingrix vaccine, do them on a late Friday afternoon. I went down with a fever about 12 hours after I got it.

Started Entyvio infusions as well - fingers crossed it works well 🤞

Anyone with IBD/UC/Crohn’s with experience using methotrexate? Is it tolerable?? Did you get more infections after starting it with your anti-TNF alpha medicine?

Data point: Some of the Meijers had Nintendo Switch 2 inventory 3-4 hours ago. The employee said they have some more in the back too if you’re looking for one

Infliximab loading dose #3 went smoothly and the next one will be in ~8 weeks. Not the same as when I was on prednisone but better than before the treatments!

Sending positive thoughts to the people affected in the fires over in the Los Angeles area.

Infliximab loading dose 2. Fingers crossed I’ll feel normal like how prednisone had me feeling the past 4 weeks.

FrogPilot running on Comma 3X has been great. This is what AI should be leveraged for - not for creating creepy artwork and ads

Drove to New York and back with this system and, though expensive at $1K, I highly recommend it to anyone who has a car that supports it

I also had my first biologic treatment a little over a week ago with infliximab/inflectra. With insurance, $500/treatment but supposedly reduced to $50/treatment with assistance from the drug manufacturer. Fingers crossed this helps me feel better

ERCP doc showed me the images from the MRI/MRCP and showed me what he thinks are consistent with PSC. Wants me to do additional blood work and MRCP in April. Silver lining is the doc luckily doesn’t see strictures that are so bad to do a risky ERCP & stent procedure for now

On my way to New York again. I bought the Comma 3X for my car and so far it may be the best purchase I’ve made in 2024. I drove ~6 hours to Pennsylvania last night (through rain, snow dusting) on a very dark I-80E with very few interventions. This is a great applied AI/technology

Here we are with the bill - I was expecting $3K so this is not as bad

Probably a long shot here but does anybody have experience with inflectra for ulcerative colitis? My insurance company approved treatment and would like to hear how it worked for you

Had a friend say there’s no Cinnabon outside the US.

Had an endoscopy & colonoscopy (12/2023 & 11/2024).

12/2023 GI thought mild Crohn’s.

New GI’s thoughts are that I have ulcerative colitis (Mayo level 2?)

Finally got an appointment with the ERCP doc after paperwork delays. Let’s see what the third GI says 😂

Here goes my out of pocket max

Provider’s office said I need to do a Fibroscan. Results came back good thankfully

Any medical professionals (or those with experience) with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC)? How accurate are MRCPs? Does an ERCP check the results of the MRCP or will they try to treat it to an extent by putting stents in? I will ask the ERCP specialist soon but wanted to ask.
