WE were colonised - and later helped begin the disintegration of the British Empire, with diffusion effects to independence and decolonisation movements around the world - you fucking dickhead.

Hah, it's funny to see that you're entirely wrong - as in, thoroughly and impossible to be more wrong - about multiple things at once, and not only the niche issue of the GDPR.

Dunning-Kruger just doesn't begin to cover it.

Gas.

It's okay to admit you don't understand this law or its implications.

That is incorrect. What I said was that GDPR has extra-territorial effect: the personal data of people in the EU is subject to this legislation everywhere. Which it is.

I see. An unoriginal reply; imitation being a sincere form of flattery, I hear.

Thank you for demonstrating your lack of understanding of the GDPR.

Meanwhile, government and Garda leadership need to step up hugely. The current Minister is an absolute disgrace.

Solidarity, Feljin, it's horrific. So many people in the past few days have spontaneously said they had hoped to go to the India Day celebrations before it was postponed - I hope it's not cold comfort to say that. Hopefully the event will go ahead eventually, and people can show support.

Clamp down on the far-right agitators spreading hatred online.

Implement the National Action Plan against Racism.

Implement hate speech laws instead of defending our failure to comply with EU laws in the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The silence from the Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan on this issue that he is directly responsible for for three weeks is sickening.

Hm. Perhaps we all need to contact our TDs in person, in that case, and when they trot out that line, we state that we wish to inspect the contents of their phone.
