No doubt, adventures that go badly can make a person reluctant or fearful of venturing out again.
But, on the flip side, experiencing wonder is restorative: it reduces stress, loneliness, and fosters connection with ourselves and others.

Some define an Adventure as "A trip without a destination." Trips with no planned destination can be adventurous but not always. Wandering, meandering, and going in circles may be part of an adventure, but are not adventures themselves. Adventure is about seeking a change.

Adventure is the experience of wonder presented as a narrative. At a minimum, the story has a inciting event, a build-up, a moment of awareness, and an epilogue with a new point of view. That is to say, it has a timeline, an environment, and a witness who conveys the moment of amazement.
