One of my grants won't even be reviewed once NIH reviews start again. It contains the words 'diverse populations' and melanin. It targeted creating/validating a method (using modulated light) to detect skin cancer that would work effectively in people with a wide range of melanin in their skin.

I will spend my weekend writing an impact statement to send to as many politicians as possible. I am encouraging my colleagues to do this as well. Some have lost grants and received cease work orders - on previously awarded grants with budgets approved and passed by previous sessions of Congress.
