Unbelievable to think war cemeteries of this scale being consecrated in our lifetime, and uniting the heroism, fear, pain and tragic ends to sufferings I cannot begin to fathom. My respects offered too in absentia and thank you for shining the light on why we must continue to support Ukraine.

Aa another book for your readers, I’d like to recommend “The Sleepwalkers”, by Sir Christopher Clark, as a highly detailed but very readable account of the events leading up to WW1. A different time to be sure, but a lot of parallels with today in terms of how miscalculations can define history.
