How is "I didn't read it yet" or "I didn't follow the news" ever acceptable as answers from people whose job it is to be in the know. We need to stop allowing this as an answer. Or follow up to ask if they believe they are fit for the job if they are unable to stay abreast.

As your first premise was about truth - it is difficult when information is entertainment & not, in fact, truth. When something is demonstrably false & it's stated as fact from the highest positions of power- it makes us cynical & question it all. I'm for coming together

Mine or theirs? I'm not typically tinfoil hat wearing. But listening to CNN report on it & take it at face value. Then gone from news. Shooter refers to his "old man"- is this 1960s? It could all be true but doesn't reflect speech pattern or txt abbrev of 22 yos. Curious what's come to light since

MTG can turn her beliefs on & off. She might have been horrible when I thought she believed all that MAGA bs, but to see her do a 180 & sane-wash her image, in a matter of wks, makes her nothing short of diabolical. She didn't believe her past cruelty was necessary & she chose it.
