Holiday cacti are long-lived plants that are sensitive to temperature and humidity. They can survive above freezing temperatures outdoors but they need ideal conditions to bloom during the holidays. You can identify the type of holiday cactus you have by looking at the shape of its stem segments, its growth habits, and when it blooms.

I've had this black ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) for over a year and it's never done anything but stay gorgeous. All of a sudden it's decided to double in size. It'll be all black eventually but I'm digging this wild contrast.🌱
