Totally. And though Labour surely can see by now that they're heading for total crash at next GE, and would probably benefit from FPTP, they're still hoping for a return to the old two party system. But it's ridiculous! I think it's just UK, US and Belarus that has FPTP system. We need GP in govt!

This is why we need #ProportionalRepresentation. I really don't understand why there's not more conversation about this... it benefits the Green Party, and (much as I hate it) Reform, and Labour members voted for it. So it should be in everyone's benefit!

Often the same when US commentators talk about Starmer. They don't realise how despised he is.
Though Macron in reflective glasses is at least cooler looking than grey, awful Starmer!!

I think we all intuitively know that it's not an 'if'.
Many countries have been controlled by an interconnected group of powerful people (mostly men), who see the rest of us as pawns in their games. They take our wealth and resources, and many also sexually abuse.
We need to awaken and rise up.

He's never said leave NATO immediately. He said it is problematic and dominated by the US, and that ultimately we should work towards other alliances. And a NATO where the US has already left it and is an enemy is another thing entirely.

America is a country on the verge of collapse... like Rome, Britain, USSR before it... and Trump's like a late stage evil emperor trying to assert that Rome will stand forever all powerful. Europe needs to stand together, with Canada, Australia etc. and lock US out of world trade

Same here 😊 But I think if we're going to move towards something more radical, we need action and steps towards it. Your party arguing over fine details just seems like a losing battle, whereas Zack is getting out and trying to get through to the disillusioned Labour and even Reform voters.

Totally!! Labour is proving just as authoritarian as Tories were, and even within the party there's no democracy. Ultimately I'd love more direct democracy than representative, but for now Green Party is amazingly democratic and member-led. I highly recommend membership :)

Someone "like me"?? "your ilk"?? WTAF do you think you know about me?
And if you only care about your own people, and not the much larger number who continue to be killed in Gaza, and actually believe Israel will protect you rather than steal Iranian land, then you're both selfish and foolish.
January 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM
Wow, rude. Do you only have opinions on Iran then? Are your opinions on the rest of world politics irrelevant.
I hope for your sake that there is a democratic transition for Iran, as I said in my previous comment. But standing alongside people waving the flag of ongoing genocide is not a good look.
January 19, 2026 at 9:50 AM
They did... but the protests were also taken over by people waving Israeli flags, and supporters of the son of the former Shah...so people wanting no opposition to their genocide, and someone wanting to reinstate an autocratic regime. Not ideal... Iran needs DEMOCRACY.

Imo the EU and Canada should to unite to form a trans-Arctic entity that can protect Greenland united, and also future Arctic shipping peace.
Countries who believe in international cooperation rather than aggression.
(Then I hope for ecosocialist reform... but as a start).
