Thank you, Bill, for remembering all of the details leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor. My dad was there stationed at Schofield Barracks. He spent the rest of his time in the Army fighting the Japanese throughout the Philippines. He never spoke about it. The trauma was overwhelming.

Think I’ll pass on “The Parade”. Maybe I’ll take in the Trooping of the Colors in Britain. It’s a wonderful display of pomp and circumstance w/o the Yankee whining.

FYI- her film clips came from a PBS film called Atomic Coverup. Allegedly the investigation in Japan was ended by the govt and the films done were confiscated and the info not allowed to be public. The less we know, right?

The person in danger was ID’d by their SSN! It was capable of comprehensive surveillance. It’s kinda creepy to realize that what could be being developed now was portrayed years ago. I was an ardent fan then and may start watching again. Still unsettling….

Update- 2011 there was a tv show, Person Of Interest. A “machine”
Was developed post 9/11 to capture personal info on everyone. One man was responsible for development. It became to powerful. Had to be destroyed. The memory survived. Each day there is one person singled out in danger.

Many thanks to all who have responded to my posts. I’m new at this so you have made it rewarding. I know that I’m “old” but have lived long enough to have thoughts and opinions about the state of affairs now. Pay attention and work to understand what’s happening. It’s vital to our survival.

First of all there is no happy in Memorial Day. It’s a day set aside for remembrance of those lost in conflict. My daughter lost her husband in Iraq in 2007. She just asks that the word happy not be used in reference to Memorial Day. A simple request. Trump is incapable of understanding anything!

My opinion- if I was of childbearing age is that I WOULD NOT risk getting pregnant in the current reproductive climate. Having a child is such a personal decision with so many facets to live with that shouldn’t be within the govt pervue. And if some- thing should go wrong help could be unavailable.

Just imagine that you are a graduating senior of a military academy and the President is scheduled as the speaker for the ceremony. What you would be expecting could be some inspiration, some ‘atta boys”, some life affirming anecdotes, but instead you are given this drivel! Hideous!
