Just read U. Wilcken, Punt-Fahrten in der Ptolemäerzeit, ZÄS 60, 1925, 86–102-- famous papyrus on 5 dudes getting a loan to go to the "Aromatophoros", prob. the Horn of Africa & buy spices. One is a Spartan, another is a Massaliote. The guarantors are from Thessalonike, Elea, from Massalia
