For many years I have been using this popular "N-link" model to describe and simulate (planar) flexible fibers in low-Reynolds flows 🪡, but my math brain was always frustrated that its convergence to continuous elastohydrodynamics equations was not formally proved. 1/2

New paper in which we demonstrate how to generate #cilia like oscillations with only reciprocal actuation at the base, using theory, simulations and a robotic model.
