On my way to Barcelona where I will be attending the Parental Brain conference #PB2025
Last time, I was only able to follow online, so I am really grateful to go this time and give a talk on my postdoc project!

MERCI 🫶✨️

Exclusive: how NSF is scouring research grants for violations of Trump’s orders
The US National Science Foundation has unfrozen grant funding, but it continues to scrutinize research projects, sowing turmoil.

This is terrible. But if you are not in the US, I am sorry to say that if far-right political parties reach the presidency, it would probably be the same. I am in France and have little doubt about it (even though I would sometimes just like to be naïve)
🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.

WOMEN and FEMALE are red flag words. (Men, male are not on the list). Let that sink in.

I am so grateful for vaccines. Especially when my 2 years old has the flu, so I have not slept for 2 days and I am still not sick 🙏🏼

Am I the only one who cannot remember why I planned some experiments after the holidays? I received some mice and I can't remember why 😂

First visit of the history museum in Paris for my son during the holidays. A week later, he still talks about the dinosaures ☺️

We have an open post doc position funded by an ERC Consolidator grant. It is 3 years full-time and we are looking for someone with expertise in molecular methods (engram tagging/opto/DREADDs/Immunohistochemistry) to join our big, team-science projects. www.genzellab.com/we-are-hiring

Can we discuss about the migraine resulting from watching too many mice videos? (and the high consumption of chocolate and podcasts)

1/✨ New paper in #eNeuro! We looked at how dominance behaviors vary across mouse strains—turns out, it’s not one-size-fits-all!
Comparing CD1 & C57 male mice, we found strain-specific dominance behaviors that could change how we study social hierarchy in the lab…🧵

Women are under-represented at senior levels in #academia globally, & across all #science 🧪 disciplines, as shown by these "scissor-shaped curves" ✂️

So how can we ever achieve #gender #equality?

We discuss various strategies in this #Cell Commentary

Doing animal behaviour is accepting that today, your mouse do not want to walk around. I had such a nice preliminary result before that one 😭

Hello!
I am trying to connect with other scientists! I am doing my postdoc on maternal behaviour in mice. Studying how neurons are activated during pup care between mothers and virgins.
