From the Spinotti interview, a great observation about the importance of believability in images. A key issue with a great amount of 21st century CGI-heavy "cinematography" (JURASSIC WORLD always my go-to) is the fact the brain implicitly understands the things a camera can't do!

I got sucked in by those LED grow lights push ads, and I have to say... it's impossible to overstate just how almost-dead this begonia was. First photo is Aug 19, after about a week of light; that big lower leaf was the last one standing prior. Second photo is today! (And yes that's a chest burster)

LOLing at how the chirashi for STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN makes it look like a hard-hitting sci-fi/horror movie and not a Technicolour Hornblower adventure

Some wonderful people are raising mutual aid for Gazan families they are in touch with. Conquer the capitalist in your head and rather than thinking, "I don't have $30 to spare", maybe you have $2 or $4 or $10? Maybe 20 or 100 of you have that much? Account name KM, BSB 313140, Account 12281536.
