I am so boiling with rage after reading this. I cannot believe that the two women at the heart of this are still walking free and will likely continue to encourage this for decades to come.

You’re welcome.

Moving parts. Famously unproblematic.

Innovative. Final chart as jump scare.

Adorable. Similar to my dog who runs towards the car with windmilling tail. Absolutely loves getting into the car… but hates being in the car. Does not see this as a contradiction here.

Vomitoriums are not what you think they are.

It’s probably related to “wet bias”. Some forecasters make their own forecasts less accurate by increasing % probability of rain because many people interpret “20% chance of rain” as “it’s not going to rain today”. The icon / percentage mismatch you are seeing is probably trying to address this.

Oh my god. I love this description! “A little bath for your hands”! Adorbs. As a native Brit I can confirm that this is the correct use of the double tap set up.

Oh god. The cringe flashbacks off this post! Hyperbole as hyper-bowl is mine.

Great video. 1.5 degrees hotter has catastrophic impacts in all kinds of ways. But in terms of like lived experience of heat? I sort of get why people shrug a bit. It’s Called Summer is the reaction of a person who isn’t engaged in anything but their personal experience.

Just spent a very pleasant evening on the south bank. Had tacos. Wasn’t stabbed even once.

That’s really interesting. Thank you. We definitely don’t have this idea built into our democratic culture in the anglosphere. Does the average German have a grasp on these concepts or is this a bit more academic?

That’s already the system? Gerrymandering is how you make some people’s votes worth more than other people’s. But it doesn’t change the fact that only 1 vote is cast per person.
