I am continuously shocked when I read a reference to the age of the icons of my youth. Never thought they would be old…never thought I would be old either. Glad I’m still 25 at heart! Happy 70th birthday!

Most people would take a bullet for their own child. This shouldn’t surprise anyone, especially anyone who has ever been a parent. Hoping people can have some empathy.

To your point, some people in the US are arguing that undocumented people should remain undocumented so we have people to pick our crops and do other low-paying jobs, otherwise prices will go up. Sadly, these are similar arguments to those the Confederacy made when they were defending slavery.

I care that people are undocumented. Undocumented people remain poor, live in the shadows, and in fear. We need to fast-track them to citizenship, but too many people want to keep them as cheap labor. The kind, loving, and humane thing to do is to help them NOT be undocumented in spite of the cost.

Creating a common enemy has been the ploy of people in power for centuries and has only worsened with the internet. This is why each individual has to seek the truth through fact-based research rather than basing opinions on sound bites and click-bait headlines that reinforce their existing biases.

I would add, always take a position on each issue based on your own researched facts. Choosing a “side” leads to group think and really awful decisions made by followers, not thinkers. Judge each issue on its own merits and then fight for what you personally believe in.

I'm genuinely curious, do you believe Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Fidel Castro, Kim Il Sung, Ayatollah Khomeini, and Kim Jong Un, are or were evil? If so, can you explain how that fits into your view that only one ethnicity is at the root of evil?
