There will be a reasonable argument for this with self driving cars.

If you have a garage big enough to merit spending 10k on a new roof you really shouldn't be worried about 10k.

On a related note those cutesy videos showing dogs looking after babies turn my stomach. I had 2 pet dogs growing up and my wife has had 4 guide dogs. On no planet would we have put our children and the dog in that position.

You're 100% correct even if you will get extremely passionate pushback on that view.

It wasn't until the end of his 3rd season for Leinster that he started anywhere other than 10. For my money he was given a shot at the position and didn't quite make it. I don't think that we could expect him to be 1st choice 12 or 15 so I don't see selection errors as the reason he's leaving.

Well I tipped them so they did ok but I'd imagine at the very least that they would have been allowed a little more time to complete the job than when it was just a delivery to the door.

Latex? I once paid extra to have one delivered up a flight of stairs because I had done my back in. Delivery guys weren't pleased when I said that I did actually need that extra service that I had paid for.

That's Interesting, I expected everyone to be able to do that unless they're dyscalculic.

I love his attitude ball in hand.

Often a lot easier for those with visual impairment to leave a voice note than send a text, see also people communicating in a language foreign to them.

Well, there is that for sure. It might be that pollsters use it as a proxy for a different piece of information.

Ironically I suspect that the reason that people theoretically support the Republican party 'values' on this is because it would theoretically want to have less of a role for the state in raising children so they support the state having less of a role in raising children.

Not quite, it's saying that the Republican party's approach to parenting is more consistent with their values which allows those who think that Trump is personally bad at this to still say that the republican party does it best.

It is an absurd use of time and resources but this government doesn't lead, it follows. If we want them to pay attention to other stuff then we need to make it more salient to them.

The disadvantage is context dependent though. If you don't read then needing glasses in order to read is no disadvantage. 20/20 vision is a massive disadvantage if you want to be a professional baseball player. It's possible that in some respects all but a handful are disadvantaged by their sight

Hopefully the improvements to the pathways that Humphreys has been working on will bear fruit and improved that. Going to take 5 or 6 years before we see it though.

That definitely does happen but the same rules apply everywhere though don't they? Are we peculiar in having coaches that take greater advantage of those rules do we think?
December 12, 2025 at 10:45 PM
It's a project. Issue seems to be that most of the props that we have were taught to hold the scrum and have no idea how to attack it much less what to do when the opposition targets the hooker.

It's really noticeable how much more Sam P plays as second receiver in midfield than Harry does (same compared to Jack for Ireland). Also notable how much more he is spiral bombing this season.

He was at his peak under Lancaster so it wouldn't be surprising if he wanted to go there. I'd love to see him lose a little size and focus on his agility and (particularly) link play. Feels like he has diligently put on size instead of focusing on his USP.

It would add clarity if the phrase 'those who value them most highly' were changed to 'those who are willing to pay the most'. The idea is about efficient markets but comes across as a 'would deliver the most utility' idea which it isn't.

Seems like the antithesis of a traditional conservative approach? I'm guessing that you're responding the Evan Davis article? Can't say that I have enjoyed the 20mph limit but if it is actually delivering the changes described then I'd accept that it's worth the trade off.

It'll be interesting to see if Sexton adds layers to Ulster's attack requiring him to do that. I can see the temptation to leave him as a strike player though!

Baloucoune is an underrated (and excellent) defender. Does he playmaker at all though? With our centres we need a playmaker in the back 3 or we get way too predictable.
