I feel you. I share your frustration. We have to accept that Trump still has 3.2 years to go. He's going to fuq things up to the best of his ability. The best we can do is vote and watch the carnage.

True. Some systems are gone for good. Some fixes will take decades and trillions. But the wreckage also exposes what was fragile all along. We can mourn the loss and still build something better. All is not lost.

I trust the system to self-correct because we still have elections. Trump may swing a wrecking ball but if Democrats take Congress his throne becomes a folding chair. The damage is real but so is the opportunity. Let him break it. Democrats will be the ones who fix it.

Qatar bought 36 F-15QA fighter jets from the US in a $12B deal signed in 2017. Now they are building a training base in Idaho to train pilots for the new aircraft. They can be kicked out if they are bad actors.

I don't disagree with you. I wont pretend to understand all of the complexities. I do know that they share their base with us and call themselves an ally.

Ours is too - super flexible, it changes every 4 to 8 years depending on who we elect. They share a military base with us in Qatar and we have 4000 soldiers stationed there.

Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar: built in 1996, opened to US forces in 2002. Covers 14 sq miles. Largest US base in the Middle East. Strategic HQ for CENTCOM and air ops across the region. I am sure they have past transgressions and regrets but they house 4000 US Soldiers at their base.

We've done the same for Singapore since 2009 so this is not a shocker. Qatar is an ally, there will be less than 200 Qatar air force members training there for fighter planes purchased from Boeing. I don't see the WTF moment here.
