The mastering EQ I’ve been building has made significant progress since the last update. Part of the process has been learning new skills by necessity to solve issues that came up along the way. This project has been school for me, and it’s getting very close to the finish line.

Building a 5-band stereo mastering EQ with mid-side capabilities. PSU, MS matrix and frequency switches are done. A lot more to go, but little by little it’s moving along.

My Honda Steed died its final death back in December. It was with me for 12 years and I rode it almost every day. I took 4 months to look for a suitable replacement, and upgraded my license in the meantime. Finally, I found a sweet deal on a Honda NC700X with very low mileage (kilometerage).

DIY 11-space 500 series rack by CAPI. This was a simple build, so if you’re looking for 500 series racks and have basic soldering skills, I recommend it.

A bunch of cables came in to the hospital for repair. Have you ever seen anything like this before? Whoever made the cables did a good soldering job, but used cheap connectors. I’m fixing all of them. No one should have to go through a gig worrying about their cables.

We lost another titan this week. I can’t express how much Dave Jerden’s productions have affected my life. Some of the albums he produced got me through my teens. I remember being blown away by that sound, and I still get goosebumps, this many years later. Thank you, Dave Jerden! 🙏❤️🎶👊
