Yeah this is my larger point. There seems to be a mismatch with transfer strategy and coaching. Slots plan to have a 33 year old at RW who barely presses or tracks back didn't change. The profiles around him did, and the support. You no longer have Trent's QBing or Szobo glued to his hip. Imbalanced

Agreed. I thought our biggest mistake this summer was not buying an understudy. Similar to VVD. Age comes for us all, why not give them the ability to rest and stay sharp.

Last years gamble of let Salah cook made sense with the returns and relationship with Trent x Szobo. Diaz, Gakpo, and midfield could press. There's a terrible imbalance where the midfield and forwards are all 30 yards away from him. He needs way more support to combine + 3rd man runs

And said defensive unit is terrible at pressing, with Salah being the glaring weakness in that pressing unit.

Just not true. Should be on 6-7 assists if our players weren’t criminally underperforming. Sure he’s light weight, but so was David Silva and many other creative 10s. Our problem is the whole tactical set up and possession sequences. He feels the need to come deeper to help, we need him near the box

Slot has completely lost the plot. There’s a very obvious problem when Salah plays that he isn’t solving for: complete isolation on the RW with a RB sometimes overlapping or providing support. He needs Wirtz to get closer to him, not farther away on the LW…

Exactly. Square up defender, cut inside, float cross back post cross or blocked shot. Rinse and repeat. At least with Ekitike or Chiesa they have the balls to go 1v1

They're tough to break down because we let them get into rest defense with our incredibly slow build up. I know U18 teams that could probably hold us to half time 0-0

Honestly he's not wrong. Our attack is in .5x speed, everything is so belabored. Press is lack lustered at best. Guys getting caught on the ball left and right. Movement is stagnant. We're at home

Needs to be a general fund we can all donate into to cover tear down costs and in return you get a chunk of the ballroom, arch, maybe some gold dust etc.

There is not a single ISO/RTO in this country that doesn't have enough reserve capacity this winter... maybe not the margins they typically want but its not close. Wright is an ignominious douchebag
