Nobara has done the job for me, honestly. The closes to “plug and play” that you can probably get in Linux, and they do have good Nvidia support

Thinking through it today, there's more I want top do to the base design, and then I'll probably use blender for the strylization instead of inkscape... but for my usage, even though inkscape is heavily touted as 'this is for vectors, use GIMP for raster!', it's perfect for me
