We have heat strips at the air handler for backup, they work fine - I'd be interested to hear how a space heating solution works out. We did have the advantage of an old school electric hot water heater tank so an easy choice to switch that to a heat pump water heater. Good luck on your journey!

Are you able to go all electric? That was the big $$$ savings option for us (in Columbus) since the fixed service charges in Ohio are so high, -$600 in annual meter costs and more for future years....

There's greenup.rmi.org and homes.rewiringamerica.org/personal-ele... in the US but both have assumptions about energy pricing that can be misleading for OH where there's big NG fixed charges and shopping for generation. At electrifycentralohio.org we're piloting our own spreadsheet calculator.
