Anyone who wants to argue needs to post an example of media in which a right winger makes a good-faith effort to listen to and understand the rest of us.
We've gotten so many of these pieces where a liberal engages in a good-faith effort to understand Trump voters. Every time, they discover that there's no deeper sympathetic reason they hold their views. They're just misinformed and hateful. My own efforts have found this too.

I didn’t get a photo of E’s Rumi hair this morning so hopefully she doesn’t mess it up because it definitely came out better than it did for the trunk or treat (photo attached)

Some guy at this conference just asked if there’s any science to support children suffering psychological harm for trauma suffered while in utero…. I just… what is the fetal personhood is that question

My kids make fake YouTube unboxing videos where they talk about the thing they just pretended to unbox being “rare”

Childhood in 2025 is weird

I have a cookie delivery coming today according to my emails (delivery info only, no purchase info) and I have no idea why. I did not order them. My birthday was a month ago and Mother’s Day a week ago. Who ordered me cookies?

Shoutout to my subconscious for making me plan for Monday tacos way before my conscious realized it was Cinco de Mayo. Really had my back there

Currently seeing & JULIET and apparently I’m a big Drew Gehling fan since the last time I saw a saw on Broadway it was WAITRESS when he was the lead back in 2016. Small world (also both & JULIET and WAITRESS are incredible)

Going away in the spring is quite the adventure. I just sent my parents what feels like a booklet on the kids activities for this weekend. Thankful we have a village that can make sure my Husband and I can do a quick trip and the kids don’t have to miss their shit.

Literally just now from B:

“What can we do that’s fun?”

… it’s nearly 9pm …

Me: “Go to bed?”

B: “No that’s not fun”

B announced tonight that he has a “bagina” under his penis. Then pulled down his pants to show us, pointing to his testicles. He was not willing to consider that he was wrong. “NO IT’S A BAGINA”

Officially decided to end our daycare journey early at the end of the summer and put B in the local preschool. It will be an adjustment but it’s become clear over the last 2 months that it is no longer the place for him and we need to make the change.

B was unimpressed with my 7am pronouncement that “this is the last Monday you’ll ever be 3” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just saw Snow White and both kids are obsessed. My husband and I loved it too. Love how they made Snow White a true heroine instead of a damsel who needed to be saved

You and your family are less safe tonight because Donald Trump's penis is so devastatingly small.

Yesterday my kids asked to bake a chocolate cake and I happened to have all the ingredients and so we baked, decorated, and ate a cake last night and I just hope this is something my kids remember when they grow up and not, like, that time mommy lost her shit on them because she stepped on a lego

My family could really use a break after the way 2024 ended for us, so learning my YOUNGER cousin just had a heart attack (he’s doing ok) is not really moving us in the right direction. 2025 is an asshole

I have spent the entirety of my sick day today watching Traitors S2 and I am so hooked and I have no regrets

I ordered heart-shaped pancake molds to have a fun breakfast-for-dinner treat on Friday because MOTHERS ARE FUCKING MAGICAL BEINGS and I just know someone will complain but I’ll choose to remember it differently because the world is terrible but my kids will have heart pancakes on Valentine’s Day

The way my 3yo is signing his name and overlapping the letters it appears he is signing all his valentines as BITCH

Efiling is down, scanning is down, there’s a snowstorm outside that has closed all area schools… remind me again why we’re still here?

Happy Wednesday. I put too much water in my instant oatmeal and, yknow, everything else terrible in the world right now

Patiently waiting for 10am so I can buy tickets to see Cynthia Erivo…

I am, at LEAST, 3 million screams away from being able to say “welcome in”
friendly reminder that the best case scenario over the coming years is that a lot of people say "I supported Trump but this isn't what I wanted at all" and when they do that it's gonna be really, really important that we say "welcome in," not "fuck you, we told you so"

Today at Barnes & Noble they had Hillbilly Elegy amongst a display of “must read nonfiction” and while it’s truly rich to consider that fever dream nonfiction… I covered his pile (it was by far the biggest pile which gives me hope) with a few better books
