Ewe U15 is 10. She has weaned 3 lambs over her lifetime, 2 are still alive. This year she lost her lamb at or soon after birth and by mid-September she was 79Kg, 10 Kg more than last year when she weaned a son. #LongTerm

In the calls to defend Canada, we’re getting a one-dimensional perspective: increased resource extraction & exploitation.

But what if your #cdnpoli includes its wilderness, which sustains us & the good life we enjoy here? Thanks @wcscanada.bsky.social for this piece:

NEW PAPER: looking into the erosion of southern mountain caribou migrations. Over 35 years, migration distances shrank 15-25%, and elevational migrations are collapsing. Habitat loss, not weather, likely the main culprit. A major conservation challenge ahead.
