Joined the #HandsOff event in #Arizona this weekend. What an inspiring and energizing experience. It was uplifting to connect with others who care about protecting our #democracy. Standing up for what we believe in really does matter.

Visited the state capitol, learning how the legislative process works. Arizona elects 30 state senators and 60 house members. www.azleg.gov

Fountain Hills rejected - in a 5 to 2 vote - a federal road safety grant—why? The grant funded 75% of a study for safer crosswalks, better lighting, & traffic-calming. Concerns over equity were misplaced—no mandates, no audit risks. I urged the council to reconsider. #SS4A #RoadSafety

Enjoyed a tour of our new International Dark Sky Discovery Center today in #FountainHills. This is going to be quite the attraction! Just $7M more needed to reach the $28M goal and bring this project to life! Check it out: darkskycenter.org
