Charleston’s growth brings opportunity — but also a responsibility. In my latest op-ed, I discuss how progress must include those historically left behind — the marginalized, under-resourced, and long-impoverished communities that helped build the Lowcountry.

Remembering the victims, survivors, their families, & the Mother Emanuel AME Church family on the 10th anniversary of the massacre. Keep their living example of faith and forgiveness in your hearts and may hearts and minds change to close the Charleston loophole to save lives 🙏🏾

I voted to adopt the @democrats.org credentials committee resolution & grant the challenge to proceed as the rules & bylaws committee outlined in order for us to have a new election for the two Vice Chair positions. This is based on the challenge that came before us in Feb, nothing more.

I’ve had the good fortune to interact with Gov. Tim Walz and Gov. Wes Moore previously. They are the same in private as they are in public. These fellow veterans are genuine public servants. Minnesota and Maryland are blessed to have them and South Carolina looks forward to seeing them more.

Congratulations and condolences to the new SCDP officers. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. The hard work continues, but they are all in to do the work. Consider being an active supporter of SCDP and your local party rather than criticize from the sideline.
Congratulations to our newly elected SCDP officers! 🎉

Chair: Christale Spain
1st Vice Chair: Rep. Roger Kirby
2nd Vice Chair: Mayra Rivera-Vazquez
3rd Vice Chair: Ralph
