He is clearly demented and that is amplifying all of his worst instincts and petty narcissism. The fact that the Republican party is willing to sit back and allow such globally disruptive behavior will be examined in the history books and needs to be prevented from ever happening again.

It is all relative as you say
European social policies confuse Americans who are programmed to then call them socialism or communism. It is very sad to see that the people who most need better policies are often too poorly educated to know

The other aspect of this is that not only do our former allies no longer trust us but in any other engagement the enemy troops will conclude that they better fight to the death because the US will take no prisoners and will not honor any normal rules of war.

I did get a sense of agenda over content at times in a similar way to how the Witcher lost its audience by deviating from the books and even alienating its main actor.
