For the record…life was better before social media.
I would like to see Schumer voted out of politics. Harsh or not, he’s one person w/means and there is a greater good to think about. It would send a messages that left is serious about fixing what broke. (And it’s more than the funding bill, Schumer presided over the left losing the pulse of USA)

Masterclass.

You are talking to the wrong app.

This was said back in 2022 (verified), so it plays a little differently than if it was said today. Obviously just word salad from an uninformed air bag, but unfortunately this was before Putin would have realized that Trump was likely to be back in office. Today’s word salad is likely scarier.

This would be a good “talking point” to dig in on. Obviously Trump Admin knows that their agenda does not improve the economy for their base, so they will likely trumpet this message. But it’s almost unarguable (which is saying something in 2025) that Trump ‘16 botched a good economy.

Ran thru the comments to see if anyone went a couple layers deeper, but didn’t find much. Homelessness is one of those topics that is just really hard for “non-experts” to discuss productively. All the starting points feel assumption-based.

This lady went to props. In everyone’s actual (non-politics) life they know these 2 things to be true:

(1) a sling after a handshake injury = a neck brace after a bumper tap
(2) the term “accosted” is literally only used by people overacting (faking)

Last night was fun to watch. Two very talented teams with young stars and very unique coaching/leadership.

To be fair, if you read the article, both sides are opposed to a foreign company buying out this particular group. The point is that Trump is dishonest and says whatever he needs to in the moment, and people with integrity are up front with their intentions even if it’s inconvenient.

Unfollowed. Normal people despised when MAGA would post pics like this of their cult hero. Hypocrisy is gross.
December 5, 2024 at 12:01 AM
I think there is a false equivalency here. Your audience here definitely put the priority on the former and may just be issuing commentary on the latter. And even if you were speaking to independents, no one voted for Trump b/c of the Biden pardon…because it hadn’t happened.

Grounded and clever. Well played.

Best take I have seen on it so far. No whataboutism. No preaching to the choir. Just focus on the real issue at end — distractions for the masses while the sycophants usurp power and prominence.
December 3, 2024 at 1:59 PM
This ain’t it. We spent the better part of the last 8 years fighting “Whataboutism” but when it suits a left-leaning stance, we use it as a crutch? H. Biden deserves a pardon if he deserves it, not because of something some criminal did.

The more these people talk out loud, the more I take comfort in how disorganized and ineffective they will be. Very few of them will last 4 years, but how ever long they do last the work will be all about political stunts.
November 26, 2024 at 2:47 PM
You are oversimplifying. It wasn’t your neighbors who decided this election. A few of them may have tipped the pop. vote, but the election was decided in counties where things are viewed through a completely different lens. Calling them neighbors is a huge reach. They live in a different world.

Things like that always leak, but I think I disagree. I’m personally past wanting things that extract a measure of revenge/justice at a populist level. I just want real wins…in this case: the best possible AG we can get under the circumstances. Adjudicate him in court, but get him off my screen.
November 21, 2024 at 6:10 PM
Such a good callout. So many hypocrites that it’s hard to remember them when it’s their time to shine (hide).
November 21, 2024 at 3:56 AM
Nice to see “media” focused on issues that bring prosperity to American families. If middle-America had a dollar for every time they’ve been forced to urinate next to a monster, they’d have….maybe like 8 cents on average.

(Which will be gobbled up by the net effects of the tariff plan)
November 20, 2024 at 6:37 PM
Nailed it.
November 20, 2024 at 6:20 PM
As always….don’t feed the trolls.
November 20, 2024 at 1:34 PM
It’s got a chance…and that’s the first piece to focus on. The second piece is real people need to do everything they can to encourage honest, entertaining people from different mediums to choose to platform here.
November 19, 2024 at 2:10 AM
Any insight into how things that plagued Twitter will work here? Bots, misinformation vs community notes? Not sure if those issues are already addressed or still hurdles to jump.
November 19, 2024 at 12:17 AM
History won’t view it as “retreat” if the right people platform themselves here, avoid the shit mistakes of Twitter, and contribute to building something better.
