Pink is a complex colour. The oldest colour in the world, it is a colour of contrasts, from calming soft pastels to the bold, vibrant and youthful energy of hot pink. Pink generally has a calming effect, reducing feelings of anger and resentment. It has even been used in prisons to calm prisoners.
