As long as I remember I've had to have dentist appointments during working hours - it's just fully expected at this point to have to have time off from work to attend.

Cities Skylines is only really taxing on the RAM, make sure you get a 16gb at least. Although less important a proper graphics card is also wise. My laptop was quite expensive (£850 but got a big discount) so can't really recommend on a price front if you want for less

If you wanna flavour it with corporate speak you could hint towards communication as a means to connect to people and if there's not that human connection, that can lead to barriers between colleagues and with clients

There's elements 3 and 4 of the "Ancien Regime's 2010s English language historical drama quadrilogy" of BBC's The Musketeers and Canal/BBC's Versailles. More recently there's Sky's Mary and George which is supposed to be entertainingly trashy. Afraid it's all rather monarchial
