In this @nytimes.com image T sits instead of standing to greet—typical and likely b/c he feels it is a power move. But the angle of Mamdani’s lean and T’s expression & use of two hands makes it more ambiguous and transforms Mamdani into the one in power extending his hand to an infirm elderly man.

Yes! I keep coming back to this live report from CNN during the hearings from when Judge N pulled Halligan up to the bench.

Based on this, the supplemental filing by DOJ using the transcript to “correct the record” is just inviting a big benchslap to follow up the one described here.
Judge Michael Nachmanoff quickly called Halligan, who was the only prosecutor who presented the case to the grand jury, to the lectern, asking her to confirm that the entire grand jury was never presented the altered indictment. The judge started, "Am I correct -" "No, you're not," Halligan interrupted. She said that there was one additional grand juror in the magistrate's courtroom and quoted her back-and-forth with that judge. "I'm familiar with the transcript," Nachmanoff said. He then told her to sit down.

At age 21, as a 1st yr HS teacher I engaged in exactly ZERO sexual encounters w/any students, not even the ones who were 20 yrs old, attractive, propositioning me, & not in my classes. Why? Because I understood that it would be wrong. I was a teacher in loco parentis and they were kids. Simple.

This horse is my horse several years ago two days after having a decent sized skin cancer removed from behind his left ear (hence the bandage). His ear is sore, but he’s zooming around happy and loved. Ears up. Mane flying as he does zoomOED. Happy horse! Fuck the pain, he’s happy.

Correcting my earlier post (screenshot below)—they can POTENTIALLY count the 100 mile border zone from the airport b/c it counts as the “functional equivalent” of a border, though they do not appear to have done so before now. But that may be their justification here.
