It's been a year since we spent a weekend away without the kids. This time, we went to Konstanz. Shitty weather, but a beautiful city nonetheless.

Finally started this book a few days ago and love it. If you’re working with or are even just slightly interested in how this thing we call “The Web” came about, this book is for you!

The book was published in 2000 and it’s wild how @timbl.bsky.social anticip...

Harvested some herbs this weekend (oregano & coriander this time) and put them out to dry in the sun.

Last week was quite intense, with school starting for one kid and kindergarten for the other, but they did great!

A friendly visitor at our mountain hut last week.

This week, the rest of the family spontaneously decided to go to the mountains again, which means I'm having our home all to myself for two nights – for the first time in at least 7 years.

At work, I took thi...

We’re back at our friend’s lovely Maiensäss in Stelserberg, where we stay for the rest of the week.

Today we hiked almost 600 meters uphill all the way to the top and back. Little bit proud of our kids, who made it to the top without complaining.

Singer “Marlin” performing a nice set during this year’s Ämstfäscht in Zurich (an inclusive alternative to the official Swiss National Day festivities) – great vibes, despite some heavy rain in between.

My daughter and I went to explore the forest at the Waldlabor yesterday. One of the few places in the city where you could evade the 33°C heat this weekend.

Another one from our trip to Basel last week. I've seen lots of street art all around the world, but what Rebel puts on these walls is just absolute madness. Love it!

Two chairs on the main stage, ready for Mary Hubbard and Matt Mullenweg’s fireside chat at the end of WordCamp Europe 2025 in Basel.

Now took some rest in the hotel before the after party and tomorrow we’ll head back home.

Yesterday, we went to the circus with the kids, something I hadn’t done since I was a kid myself, and had a fantastic time.

After last week, which has been kind of challenging for various reasons, this was exactly what we needed!

If you cannot remove cars from your city and you cannot put them underground, you can build a park on top of them. Yes, you read that right and it’s what Zurich just did to one of the ugliest highway entrances of the city.

Last weekend the “Überlandpark” was...

The “Two Towers” (or Due Torri, in Italian) are impressive landmarks of Bologna and stand tall in the middle of the city. From this angle, it’s barely noticeable how much one of them leans to the side.

In medieval times the whole city was full of these tow...

Only had a few hours to explore Bologna and I really like it so far! Almost no cars, a lot of the inner-city pedestrian-only even, many bicycles instead and overall a great atmosphere.

Maybe it was the stark contrast coming directly from Naples, but it felt a...
