How much fun I'm having writing a scene is a great diagnostic tool to figure out if that scene needs to be in the book. Yesterday I pushed a boulder up a hill for 400 words only to have the epiphany that it should be a mere anecdote in a much more relevant scene. #drafting #editing

I am reading my first draft and sometimes I think that I can do this, I have no deadlines and it's only the first of many rewrites. Other times I want to set my laptop on fire and start over. The joys of #writing

My husband is always a little late with these things—he cannot be rushed even in situations calling for haste—but it's worth the wait if you're looking for music that didn't appear on any "best of" list you saw last month.

Spent the day on site at -5°C. Felt like my hands were going to fall off from the cold. I don't think I could be more tired.
