Feels weird to read The Bear during Indigenous People's Month. It was summarized as post-apocalyptic, but feels like that was just a bandaid to a story about a girl learning how to survive with the help of animals. But playing Horizon Zero Dawn while listening to the audiobook felt right.

The customization is what got me. You can morph every bit. Leveling up means gathering more cool shit to wear. My hair color #changes once a week, minimum. So I didn’t have a problem when my real hair started tinting in whatever direction I had that weekend. Saved me money on dye & bleach.

I was bombarded with the pumping sounds of life. Every #pulse rocked my head. I could see the vibration of every note from the guitar, sway of the crowd. I could see these vibrations hitting each other, mingling. I could see the webs connecting, every movement making the webs quiver.

Another story uploaded to Vella! These feel like huge climbs and also small steps at the same time. But it's creating nice habits and bite size repetition of write, find what to change, Rewrite. Hope this makes the writing process more rhythmic.

She turned her back on me for the final time and limped down the steps, her box of goods carried in her arms. She took the steps slowly, making sure not to slip as the water coated the stairs. The next sheet of rain took her away from my sights and she had disappeared.
