A close-in image of a protoplanetary disc around a newly formed star. Many different wavelengths of light are combined and represented by separate and various colors. A dark line across the center is the disc, made of opaque dust: the star is hidden in here and creates a strong glow in the center. A band going straight up is a jet, while other outflows form flares above and below the disc, and a tail coming off to one side.

I sometimes refer to posts on this site (or Threads) as “Tweets”. I just think it’s absolutely WILD that the bitch who bought Twitter is so bad at business that he destroyed the brand recognition of one of the most powerfully branded sites ever developed.

The planet Uranus on a black background. The planet appears blue with a large, white patch taking up the right half. The patch is whitest at the centre, then fades into blue as it expands from right to left. A thin outline of Uranus is also white. Around the planet is a system of nested rings. The outermost ring is the brightest while the innermost ring is the faintest. Unlike Saturn’s horizontal rings, the rings of Uranus are vertical and so they appear to surround the planet in an oval shape. There are 9 blueish white dots scattered around the rings.
