I might be misremembering, but didn’t they start banning early biking on the path before the marathon started? Thought this was a thing as soon as last year

So those pre-COVID are the all time highest daily ridership the MTA has seen in its running history? Or is it just factoring a few months/years before March 2020? If the latter, I’m curious what the highest daily ridership number is

Not sure if it’s just because of the times that I’m in these areas, but always surprised by just how empty the roads are on Amsterdam/Columbus/Broadway when you’re in the UWS. So many lanes and there’s only like 5 cars total on a given block

Your passion for whatever you’re playing is always so infectious regardless of what game you’re recording. For example, I’m not a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, but your enthusiasm/massive amounts of research for each episode is what keeps me invested and lining up at 5 PM EST to see the latest episode

They need to allow passengers disembarking to be able to exit first before allowing those embarking to move on the platform. That causes most of the problems with bottlenecking. For all it's problems, I like that when NJTransit announces the track in Penn Station, the platform is clear

Sent an email! I bike down this stretch so often when going home from Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn, and this new bike lane has been a godsend. The whole stretch feels a lot more peaceful now.
They should extend the bike lane all the way north to Cadman Plaza/Borough Hall!

If replacing segments via gantry is what’s allowing this project to be under budget and delivered much earlier, what was the original proposal that was put forth that made it significantly more expensive and time consuming?

This exactly! Happy this is here as an option, but there certainly is more than enough space to widen the sidewalk and bike lanes and still have a lot of space for cars. Sigh
