Is it public which company/ies makes these mosaics for the MTA?

Really hoping this gets a letter and isn’t just called the IBX once it starts running. X train with the pink color would be fantastic

Was just about to ask the same thing

So awesome! I need your luck

Do you just stumble upon these things, because you always find the coolest train oddities. I’ve been keeping an eye out for them all

I might be misremembering, but didn’t they start banning early biking on the path before the marathon started? Thought this was a thing as soon as last year

So those pre-COVID are the all time highest daily ridership the MTA has seen in its running history? Or is it just factoring a few months/years before March 2020? If the latter, I’m curious what the highest daily ridership number is

Obsessed with this. Love the Halloween spirit

Personally thought the Liquid Glass version of the icon looked absolutely perfect. This version is fine but a bit of a regression

Not sure if it’s just because of the times that I’m in these areas, but always surprised by just how empty the roads are on Amsterdam/Columbus/Broadway when you’re in the UWS. So many lanes and there’s only like 5 cars total on a given block

Any recs on the best way to get there via public transit? Bus from port authority? Or metro north and walking over the bridge?

Your passion for whatever you’re playing is always so infectious regardless of what game you’re recording. For example, I’m not a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, but your enthusiasm/massive amounts of research for each episode is what keeps me invested and lining up at 5 PM EST to see the latest episode

Can you post the comment here? Interested in reading but cant seem to find it while scrolling on mobile

Thankful for you bringing this newsletter to everyone’s attention a few months ago as it’s definitely something I look forward to at the beginning of each week. Interesting to actually get a glimpse of just how many projects are happening concurrently

They need to allow passengers disembarking to be able to exit first before allowing those embarking to move on the platform. That causes most of the problems with bottlenecking. For all it's problems, I like that when NJTransit announces the track in Penn Station, the platform is clear

So ominous looking with the red glow of the lights

Sent an email! I bike down this stretch so often when going home from Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn, and this new bike lane has been a godsend. The whole stretch feels a lot more peaceful now.

They should extend the bike lane all the way north to Cadman Plaza/Borough Hall!

If replacing segments via gantry is what’s allowing this project to be under budget and delivered much earlier, what was the original proposal that was put forth that made it significantly more expensive and time consuming?
October 7, 2025 at 9:51 PM
Not bad. Definitely want to try that some time soon. Thanks!
September 16, 2025 at 3:42 PM
How many miles did this end up taking?
September 16, 2025 at 3:36 PM
This exactly! Happy this is here as an option, but there certainly is more than enough space to widen the sidewalk and bike lanes and still have a lot of space for cars. Sigh

Hey! Just stumbled across your app/work and find it super inspiring. I was curious: Are the animations for the sheet popping out from the (+) button and the new "post" popping into place native animations in iOS 26 or did you have to customize that behavior?
September 15, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Will this be a parking protected bike lane or is the lane really that wide (including the buffer zone)?
September 14, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Genuinely so excited about this, especially since I bike down here often. This has been a long time coming
September 14, 2025 at 2:23 AM
I already had Pittsburgh on my list of places I want to eventually visit, but your posts definitely make me wanna get on that asap
