I can see what he means! If so... one side spear/rod and a single hand and and the other 2 hands/ams holding a staff or pole with one either side ...swearing loyalty ? Did Roman legionary standards (single hand) have a hand on top? Very crude indeed! Cross one side, rod of office on other?
