It’s a stretch to suggest that anyone other than shareholders in those companies “asked” for those things. Companies don’t have to be voted into an area, they just have to do the permitting rigmarole with the local jurisdiction, there’s no democracy involved

I dunno, I think it’s perfectly fine to suggest that banks lending money to specific industries (weapons manufacturing, for profit prisons, extractive industries that destroy rural communities) is inherently immoral and deserving of criticism
